Our recommended route:
- Take the M7 highway to the Balatonboglár-Lengyeltóti exit (Exit 142), then turn toward Lengyeltóti-Osztopán-Somogyjád-Mernye to reach Alsóbogát.
- From the M7 highway, take the Balatonlelle exit onto Route 67 toward Kaposvár; then, after the Polány-Mernyeszentmiklós roundabout, a paved road leads through Somogygeszten to the center of Alsóbogát—a total distance of just 6 km. This road will soon be paved, so we recommend it even for those traveling by car; and since it’s a much shorter route, the travel time from Budapest is reduced to about 1.5 hours.
- Alternatively, if you continue on Route 67, there is a roundabout near Kaposfüred; by turning toward Várda, you can reach us via the Juta-Várda–Somogyjád route—this is a fully passable, paved road, although it is slightly longer.
